The Grotto Experience

Visiting the Blue Grotto involves a highly regulated process of queues, ticket barges, and strict rowboat rules.

When you reach the sea cave, you cannot simply walk or drive a boat inside. The entrance is just 1 meter high, requiring a specific transfer system.

First, you pay the entry fee at a floating barge in cash. Then, you lie completely flat in a small wooden rowboat to clear the tiny portal.
